(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Habitat for Humanity is moving right along with their new house in Aitkin as the summer moves forward. We recently spoke to Executive Director Anne Schwartz and President Cara Shaver about how volunteers have stepped up over the past year to ensure the house’s completion in 2021.
Cara Shaver spoke about what projects still lie ahead for the house at 218 Minnesota Avenue South in Aitkin.
A couple more projects have been troublesome but are looking up thanks for some help from the public.
Anne Schwartz mentioned the past year has been accelerated thanks to numerous volunteers, including the soon-to-be homeowner of the Habitat home.
Habitat for Humanity is also looking for volunteers and donations to finish the house.
Beyond the home building, Habitat will take your volunteer time in any fashion.
