(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council during their regular meeting on June 16th voted to ban bicycles on city sidewalks that are regulated by the State of Minnesota.
R&J Broadcasting’s Doug Gillette spoke to Ironton City Council member Rose Stromberg about the reasoning behind the ordinance.
This comes off the heels of the recent discussion between residents and business owners concerns of cyclists and visitors riding on the sidewalks which could lead to incidents. Stromberg did address the concern of liability.
The Ironton City Council is next scheduled to meet on Wednesday, July 7th at 6pm from the Ironton City Council Chambers.
