Ada Police Chief Talks Patrolling the Fair

Ada, MN — The 125th Norman County Fair kicks off today and throughout the next four days the Ada Police Department will be on the grounds providing support and making sure everyone is safe. Ada Police Chief Jody Bueng says between them and the Norman County Sheriff’s Office they like to have a visible presence on the grounds at all times and be available whenever needed, whether that’s its for something as simple as keys locked in a car or more serious matters like to help locate a missing a child.

Chief Bueng adds that he doesn’t want their presence near the beer garden in the evenings to deter fairgoers from having a good time, but he does hope it deters them from drinking and driving. He says in recent years people have been much better at hitching a ride with a sober driver at the end of the night.
