What a difference a year makes! With the Covid situation last summer, Summer Rec activities were limited coinciding with fewer kids registering for the program. 60 kids signed up last year for various activites compared with 166 kids registered this year. All Summer Rec activities return this year including baseball and softball although there will be some changes according to Summer Rec Director Karen Graham.

At the end of the season there will have Summer Rec championship play with tournaments for peewees, mites, midgets, cadets and ponies.

New to Fosston Summer Rec this year is a field trip on June 25th for ages 7 and up to Summerhill Farms.

Fosston football coaches are offering two football camps July 14th – August 11th and August 18th and 19th.

The Fosston Civic Center lifeguards will have a busy summer keeping watch at the pool with 7 communities coming for swimming lessons.

Other Summer Rec offerings include Golf with Greg Mireault beginning June 9th at the Fosston golf course, a summer play directed by Abby Pearson with performances June 25th-27th, arts and crafts with Kirby Vossler and Wednesday afternoon programs at the Fosston Public Library. Call Karen Graham at the Fosston Civic Center at 218-435-6434 with any questions.
