Ada, MN – On Saturday June 5th in over 100 degree heat, 13 softball teams were made up of community members, family members, friends and classmates of Cody Holte, including teams representing the Grand Forks PD, Fargo PD, Norman County Law Enforcement and the North Dakota National Guard. These teams would compete, make memories, and share stories of their fallen friend, Officer Cody Holte of the Grand Forks Police Department, 2010 Norman County West graduate who was killed in the line of duty May 27th 2020 in Grand Forks.

The Ceremonial landing of the Helicopter from the Grand Forks Police came in a few minutes earlier than expected, but it was still a highlight of the day. The Pilot dropped off the softballs for the ceremonial first pitch delivered by Cody’s Father Bret Holte, and his Son Gunnar, along with Cody’s Grandfather Nathan Redland.

As for the tournament, it was team Fetting defeating team Warner 7-0 in the Championship game, completing a 52-0 day for team Fetting.
