District 10B Rep. Lueck discusses current standing of State Budget

(Aitkin, MN) — The Memorial Day holiday weekend continued to be a stalemate on the Legislative level, according to our latest conversation with District 10B State Representative Dale Lueck.
Representative Lueck touched on the news of Governor Tim Walz’s incentives for receiving a COVID-19 vaccine shot.
Given the Legislature is out of Session, until the Governor plans to recall them in mid-June, Lueck and his colleagues are meeting in smaller “working groups” in the hopes of passing a Budget for the next two years.
Representative Lueck also spoke about federal funds that the Governor controls, which could aid the State Budget.
Lueck also expressed his frustration that the current negotiations, if left unresolved, could lead to a Government Shutdown.
