(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby-Ironton Board of Education honored out-going and retiring teachers during their meeting on Monday, May 24th as we had the chance to speak with Superintendent Dr. Jamie Skjeveland.

During the end of the school year, Superintendents are evaluated on their overall performance from the current year and going into next year.

Board member Joe Dwyer spoke to the Board on the latest on the Paul Bunyan Education Cooperative, which has seen some changes recently.

Further into the meeting, the Board directed a good portion of their attention to retiring teachers that have been a part of the District for a number of years.

The Board also approved the Strategic Plan for 2021-2026, in which Skjeveland highlighted the main areas of focus.

The Crosby-Ironton Board of Education approved employing Lynk Downing as Activities Director/Dean of Students, Katrina Andrusick as Secondary Vocal Music Teacher, and Lynn Serra as Special Education Teacher effective with the start of the 2021-22 School Year. Adoption was also given for the 2021-22 School Year and Revised Budget.

The Crosby-Ironton Board of Education is scheduled for June 28th at 6pm from the Forum Room at the Secondary Building.
