Amanda Lowe talks Aitkin Community Parks; Fundraising for Warming House, Community Parks

(Aitkin, MN) — As the Spring turns into warmer, summer-like weather, activity does not slow down in the City of Aitkin or the surrounding trails, parks, and activity areas for visitors and residents.

We recently spoke to Aitkin City Council and Parks Committee member Amanda Lowe on the latest surrounding recreational projects in Aitkin, including an update on the Hockey Rink and Pickle Ball Courts.

Lowe and the Aitkin Community Park Organization also want the Warming House space to serve Aitkin for more than just the Winter months.

Funds for these projects come from statewide organizations in aid of the city’s budget.

Speaking of fundraising, the Aitkin Community Park Organization will be having a golf tournament in July at Cuyuna Rolling Hills.
