BLC Ada Continues Celebrating Skilled Nursing Care Week with Memorial Event , Car Show, and More
Ada, MN — The Benedictine Living Community in Ada kicked off National Skilled Nursing Care Week this Sunday on Mother’s Day and will continue with different activities and dress up days to go along with their theme of “Together Through the Seasons” throughout the rest of the week. Monday had a “winter” theme where residents and staff dressed up in their favorite “Frozen” character and served up Blizzard treats. Today is a spring and “flower power” theme and the staff and residents will be planting flowers around the facility.
On Wednesday, they will focus on memories and remembering the residents of the past couple years have passed on, according to Activities Director Cassie Visser.
Thursday will have a “Summer” Beach Theme to go along with a car show and food trucks outside the facility.
The Benedictine Living Community wraps up National Skilled Nursing Care Week on Friday with pumpkin pie and plaid outfits to celebrate fall.
Visser reminds community members that they are open for visits now and hope to continue to loosen restrictions as long as they keep COVID cases in the community down and out of the facility.
If you have questions regarding visitation or any of this week’s activities, please contact Cassie Visser at 218-784-5576.
