City of Ada Clean Up Week is Next Week
Ada, MN — The City of Ada’s annual Clean Up Week is just under a week away and city officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of the opportunity to dispose of their unwanted and accumulated items, junk or debris at little or no cost. Al’s Disposal will host a drop off site at the Old City Hall for demolition material such as household garbage, furniture, appliances, small amounts of metal and steel items, and construction materials this coming Thursday, May 13th from 5-8pm, Friday, May 14th from 12-6pm, and Saturday, May 15th from 8-4pm. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson says either through the drop off site or from a variety of other available resources, just about anything can be disposed of during the Clean Up Week and all that information is available in the flyer sent out to residents.
The City of Ada is one of a few communities in the region that chooses to have a drop off site versus curbside pickup for their city clean up. Larson says there are number of reasons why they do that, but the most important of which is to keep costs down.
Larson estimates that the annual cost of clean up week is between $17,000 and $19,000. You can also view the clean up week flyer online via the city website adamn.gov or contact Ada City Hall for more information.
