Las Vegas, NV — A handful of area bowlers are in Las Vegas this week looking to defend their USBC Championship and coveted Eagle Trophy. The team which consists of Lynn Christianson, Ricky Crane, Doug Fugleberg, Corey Hanson and Jody Bueng won Classified Division Championship and the Eagle Trophy in 2019 and hope to follow it up and bowl their best three games this week at South Pointe Casino. Teams have from May 1st until July 17th to bowl their games. Over 10,000 teams bowl in the tournament, including approximately 1,800 in the Classified Division that they’ll be competing in, which is for those who’s average is under 175. Corey Hanson says their goal is to win the tournament, but it’s the overall experience that brings them to Las Vegas.

Their team will also get special recognition this year as defending champs. Hanson says they’ll be awarded custom watches to go along with their Eagle Trophy.

Lynn Christianson serves as the Captain for their bowling team. No championship event was held in 2020 due to the pandemic.
