Aitkin School Board continues with Capital Projects Levy at April 3rd Work Session

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin Public School Board continued their discussion on the Capital Projects Levy in the planning stages with their Work Session Meeting from Monday night at the Aitkin High School Media Center.
During the Public Comment Period, long-time teacher Scott Miller spoke before the Board on the amount of teacher and program cuts that occurred over the years.
Aitkin Superintendent Dan Stifter presented to Board members, after the public comment period which featured a question on their stance with budget cuts.
Board member Dawn Houser mentioned that the program cuts could potentially lead to long-term detriments for students.
