Ada City Council News & Notes from May 4th Meeting
Ada, MN — The Ada City Council held a short and sweet meeting on Tuesday night with three members absent and two attending virtually, which made for a relatively empty Ada Council Chambers. At the meeting, Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson updated the council on some of the discussions taking place in the Planning and Zoning Committee. Larson says the big topic they’re taking under consideration is whether or not to allow garages to be built on empty residential lots, and if so, what provisions would they be allowed.
It was also announced that Ada EDA President Greg Slotten would be resigning from that committee at the end of the month. Larson encourages anyone who may be interested in serving on that committee to get a hold of the Mayor or City Hall.
The Ada City Council did approve a pair of $300 donations at Tuesday night’s meeting. Administrator Larson says the city is happy to give back to good causes in the community and explains the donation process.
The Ada City Council also approved the sale of a lot in the North Industrial Park and made their annual Arbor Day Proclamation.
