Mudslingers OHV Club Offering ATV Safety Training
Ada, MN — The Mudslingers OHV Club is bringing back their ATV Safety training course this spring and the demand is such that they have now opened up a 3rd class. They did not host one last year with the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. The field test for the course will be held May 1st at the Ada Fire Hall. But anyone looking to do so must complete the online portion first, according to Mudslingers President Glen Visser.
The classes are limited to 15 people. Anyone born after July 1st, 1987 is required to have the training certification to operate an ATV on public trails, although those over 16 only need to take the online training.
Visser says there’s a number of safety items covered in the course, but some of most important things they cover is proper safety gear, making sure youth are riding an appropriately sized vehicle, and paying attention to your surroundings.
