News & Notes from this Week’s Halstad City Council Meeting
Halstad, MN — The Halstad City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night, April 12th. The council got an update on the potential acquisition of the former high school. Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson says there was actually very little to update the council on, as it appears no progress has been made in the negotiations with the Norman County West School Board.
The council did approve a final pay request for their recently completed Safe Routes to School project, which Mayor Johnson says has been a nice addition to town.
Also this week, Johnson says they had some preliminary discussions on zoning permits and updating when they are required.
And a reminder of a couple of community events coming up. Johnson says Spring Clean Up is coming up April 20th and the Pet Clinic is May 4th.
More information about the Spring Clean Up can be found on the Halstad city website or by calling 218-456-2128.
