Fertile City Council Discusses Ordinances & Nursing Home Employment Incentives during Monthly Meeting
Fertile, MN — The Fertile City Council held their regular monthly on Monday night, April 12th where they discussed a couple of proposed city ordinances, nursing home incentives, and signage for the Learning Center. The council approved a number of new incentives for Fair Meadow Nursing Homes employees. Fertile City Administrator Lisa Liden says it’s very difficult to find new staff, so they want to make sure they are taking care of the ones they currently have.
The council also approved an amendment to their city code on Monday night to allow for a process for garages to be built on residential properties without a home.
An ordinance relating to golf cart use was discussed this week as well. Administrator Liden says they have a special meeting next week to figure out how they want to proceed.
And the Fertile City Council approved some additional signage for the Learning Center in hopes of keeping motorized vehicles off of the trails, according to Liden.
The Fertile City Council also recognized Public Works Director Kevin Nephew for 30 years of employment with the city and approved gambling licenses.
