(BREEZY POINT, MN) — The city of Breezy Point held its regular council meeting for the month of April on Monday, so we spoke with Mayor Todd Roggenkamp to get caught up on what’s happening with the city.

Roggenkamp first provided an update on the cooperative road project that Breezy Point has been leading, with other area cities and townships helping out.

The city council also had a lengthy discussion on its contract with the Pequot Lakes Fire Department, with Roggenkamp and others voicing concerns on its long term prospects.

Ultimately, the city renewed the contract for this year, but Roggenkamp acknowledged that there are other options and more discussions are to come in the future.

Finally, Roggenkamp mentioned new updates coming to the city’s park equipment.

We thank Mayor Roggenkamp for his time. The city of Breezy Point will hold its next regular council meeting on May 3. Our full interview with Roggenkamp may be found below.
