As Spring Planting Starts, Extension Office Encourage Farm Safety
Ada, MN — Spring planting is getting underway in the Red River Valley and that’s lead Norman-Polk County Extension Educator to reminder everyone, both farmers and everyone else, to be extra cautious and look out for each on the roadways. So far there have been two fatal farming related accidents in 2021 in Minnesota. Dufault says we are both trying to get from point A to point B safely, so we all need to slow down and be alert as heavy farm machinery will be out on the roads.
And it’s not just on the roadways that we need to slow down. Dufualt asks farmers to make smart and safe decisions on the farm and not skipping important safety measures.
As spring planting gets underway, so does the Farm and Field Show! Tune in Wednesdays starting today on 106.5 KRJB from 2-5pm for updates from the farm, legislature, and from all around the ag industry.
