(Aitkin, MN) — In accordance with the latest Minnesota vaccine eligibility guidelines that became effective March 30th, Riverwood Healthcare Center is now offering COVID-19 vaccinations to anyone age 16 or older.
Vaccination clinics are being established on a weekly cycle primarily in Aitkin with some being set up in McGregor. Clinics will also be set up for working individuals and families with extended hours in the afternoon, evenings, and some Saturdays.
Riverwood Healthcare will also be taking into consideration for families, those ages 16-17 with the Pfizer vaccine, the only vaccine approved for this age group.
The COVID-19 vaccine will be provided to people at no cost but Riverwood is able to charge an administration fee for giving the vaccine to someone. You may be asked for your insurance information when you get the vaccine, and you can still receive the vaccine if you don’t have insurance pay.
Riverwood Healthcare and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Daivd Taylor will be holding another COVID-19 virtual forum on Thursday, April 8th from 2:30-3pm. A Question-and-Answer session will follow the short presentation. Questions can be submitted in advance with the Zoom registration or during the presentation. Be sure to check Riverwood’s Facebook page and the COVID-19 page for the invitation link at www.riverwoodhealthcare.org.
