Norman County East Returning to Full, Five Day In-Person Learning; Weighing Summer School Possibility
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School will once again return to in-person learning for five days a week when they return from their Easter Break on April 6th. Norman County East Principal Dustin Flaten says the district has come a long way since a COVID outbreak forced them into distance learning a little over a month ago, and with testing getting underway it’s important to have the kids in school as much as possible.
Because some students have fallen behind and many likely struggled during the different learning models, the Norman County East School is exploring the possibility of summer school and credit recovery programs, according to Principal Flaten.
The Norman County East School is looking to offer the summer school Tuesday through Thursday, June 8th through July 1st, between the hours of 8 and 11:30am. The school is asking parents to visit the school website or app to fill out a poll so they can gauge interest. A link to the poll can also be found on the district website.
