CLC’s Cultural Thursday event to feature Haile Tegegne

(Brainerd, MN) — The next Cultural Thursday event hosted by Central Lakes College will give a focus on Ethiopian culture. This free, online webinar will be noon on Thursday, April 8th.

Guest speaker Haile Tegegne, born in Ethiopia and lived in Kenya, will speak of his early childhood in northeastern Africa. He will give insight and share elements of Ethiopia’s popular culture, including language, religion, food, sports, dance, music, and more. Attendees will also be given the opportunity to ask questions as well.

Tegegne, fluent in Amharic and Swahili, has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Political Science. He also recently received his Master’s Degree in Public Administration and Non-profit Management from Hamline University.
