International Falls – Minnesota 3A Representative Rob Ecklund stopped by the KGHS/KSDM studio live for The Morning Show on Friday to cover a wide array of topics in the Borderland.
While the Minnesota Department of Health has reported that over one million Minnesotans have received the full doses of coronavirus vaccinations, the framework for vaccine distribution is still growing. Having taken place in a County Board meeting earlier this week, Rep. Ecklund shared that Koochiching County has received a steady allotment of doses moving forward.
As the total population of Minnesotans who have been vaccinated has steadily increased, so too, has the number of infected. Ecklund stated the he believes a brighter horizon has led many within the community to let their guard down.
Thursday, Marc Lessard, with Koochiching County’s Veteran Service Organizations unveiled a three-year program for veterans’ outreach and suicide prevention. Ecklund believes that initiative will work hand-in-hand with one of his own bills.
