(Brainerd, MN) — Starting today, April 1st, the Crow Wing County Landfill will be shifting to their summer hours of operation.
The Landfill, located at 15732 State Highway 210 just east east of Brainerd, will be open Monday through Saturday from 8am-5pm. These expanded hours will allow the landfill to accept household garbage, fiberglass boats, mattresses, furniture, mobile homes, and other items for proper disposal.
Items that can be properly disposed of for free or a nominal fee include free recycling of lead-acid car/marine batteries, recycling of used oil filters, anti-freeze, motor oil, free compost of lawn and garden mower material, demolition materials, large appliances, electronics, tires with or without rims, and scrap metals.
Due to COVID-19, the Crow Wing County Landfill would appreciate all customers bringing material they remain in their vehicles. Landfill staff will come out of the main office to assist customers if needed. Customers must stop at the landfill office and speak with the attendant to discuss the items to be disposed of, pay any fees, and receive directions to the proper drop-off locations.
