(STAPLES, MN) — The Staples-Motley School Board met earlier this week, so we spoke with superintendent Shane Tappe to hear the latest news with the school.

Tappe first talked about the open house that was held prior to the meeting regarding the upcoming vote on the bond referendum.

In the board meeting, the review and comment regarding the bond referendum was discussed.

This week also saw the announced retirements of two members of the faculty at Staples-Motley: elementary school teacher Stacey Carter and school social worker Penny Olsen, both of whom were longtime district employees.

Finally, Tappe gave a friendly reminder for the date in which the bond referendum will be voted on.

We thank Shane Tappe for his time. Our full interview with him may be found below.
