Norman County EDA Hosting Meet & Greet With Dairy & Swine Facility Companies
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County EDA is inviting community leaders, business owners, and residents to a public meet and greet with the people behind the Barrick Family Farms Swine Facility near Lockhart and Riverview Dairy near Waukon. The meet and greet will take place on Wednesday, March 31st from 5:30pm until 7pm at the Twin Valley Community Center. Millions of dollars are being invested into the county through these two projects, and Norman County EDA Chair Kari Kirshbaum says the meet and greet provides an opportunity to learn more about them and the impact they will have.
The Riverview Dairy and Barrick Family Farms Swine facility are entirely different projects by two entirely different companies that just happen to be being built at the same time. Kirschbaum notes that while they also have two different business models when it comes to their workforce, they both understand the importance of supporting the local communities they operate in.
Barrick Family Farms and Riverview Dairy will be providing brief presentations about their projects at around 6pm on Wednesday night. People are encouraged to ask questions, introduce themselves, and ask about job opportunities. Refreshments will be provided. If you have questions, please contact Karie at 218-350-1673.
