NMPH Encouraging Anyone Seeking a Vaccine to Get Registered for Waiting List
Ada, MN — Norman-Mahnomen Public Health is again strongly encouraging anyone in Norman County who would like to get the COVID-19 vaccination, regardless of what priority group they fall under, to contact them to get registered. Depending on the vaccine allotments each week, Public Health Director Sarah Kjono says they have been able to call on those outside the current priority group to come get the vaccine.
Vaccine appointments tend to open up quickly and with short notice, but Kjono says they are extremely flexible and will do whatever it takes to help you get your shot.
According to the Minnesota Department of Health Covid-19 Vaccine Dashboard, just over 36% of Norman County residents have received their first dose of the vaccine. However, Kjono noted that if you factor out those under the age of 18, the percentage of those vaccinated is actually closer to 50% or even higher as some of those vaccinated still are not represented in the data.
To register for the COVID-19 vaccine, please contact Norman-Mahnomen Public Health at 784-5425. Also anyone over 18 who lives in Norman County can also get vaccinated today at the Mahnomen Shopko building on Highway 59 from 10am until 3pm.
