McGregor School Board Meeting from March 22nd

(McGregor, MN) — The McGregor Public School Board heard from the Minnesota School Board Association and Nexus on the District’s Strategic Planning process and the building project at their regular meeting Monday, March 22nd.
The Minnesota School Board Association presented to Board members about the Strategic Planning process for the McGregor School District.
Russ Schmuacher of Nexus provided an update on the building project.
Nexus also gave their stance of creating Strategic Planning initiatives for the District.
The McGregor School Board did approve the hiring of Matt Carlstrom as Junior High Baseball coach and maternity leave for Dakota Boyd starting with the 2021-22 school year. Superintendent and Elementary Principal Brad Johnson elaborated on the District returning to a “sense of normalcy” with typical activities for this time of year.
Superintendent Johnson also discussed COVID-19 and possible impacts on Graduation later this school year.
The McGregor School Board will next meet for a Work Session on Monday, April 12th at 6pm and their regular meeting will be Monday, April 26th at 6pm.
