Mahnomen County Administrator Moving on to New County
Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen County Commission held their first regular meeting for the month of March last Tuesday, March 9th. At the meeting, County Administrator Jeff Cadwell announced that he would be stepping down from his position to accept another Administrator role for Hubbard County. Cadwell says the Hubbard County Administrator position offers more challenges and will be a better fit for his career.
Cadwell will remain with Mahnomen through the month of April.
In other news from last week’s Mahnomen County Commission meeting, there was discussion about the recently passed American Rescue Plan and how it impacts the county.
The County Commission also accepted bids from Knife River Materials for roadwork that will be done this summer in the county. Cadwell says the bids came in much lower than expected.
And Administrator Cadwell says the commission passed a resolution of support to apply for a recycling grant.
The Mahnomen County Commission also accepted a contract with David Drown and Associates to begin the search for the next Mahnomen County Administrator.
