All Systems Go for the 125th Norman County Fair
Ada, MN — All systems are go for the 125th Norman County Fair! Governor Walz’s latest turn of the dial for event restrictions helped give the green light for this year’s fair, which will take place June 23rd – 26th. Many of the same attractions are scheduled to return this summer, including racing at the grandstands, music, exhibits, live entertainment, and of course the Mighty Thomas Carnival on the Midway. Fairboard President Don Merkens says there are planning for a number of social distancing and safety measures to be in place and adds that carnival is already well experienced in sanitizing.
Last year’s Norman County Fair was cancelled because of the pandemic, but Merkens notes most of the attractions and activities scheduled last year will carry over to this year, as well as a few new ones such as a lumberjack show.
The Norman County Fair is also planning on going to an online registration for their Open Class Exhibits. A Late Model and 305 Sprint Car special is planned for Thursday night in the grandstand, plus the return of School Bus racing on Saturday. A concert is also in the works for Friday night.
