Crow Wing County Board Applies for Outdoor Recreation Grant
(BRAINERD, MN) — The Crow Wing County Board held its latest regular meeting on Tuesday, March 9.
The agenda was fairly light, but some important topics were discussed. The board heard a presentation regarding the possibility of applying for an outdoor recreation grant, which would financially assist in implementing trails around the county’s fire tower.
The board approved the application unanimously.
They also heard some remarks from Sherriff Scott Goddard, who had some troublesome numbers to share when discussing the amount of calls to service various departments have had throughout the county related to suicide and self-harm last year.
Following from that, County Administrator Tim Houle had more encouraging news to share regarding vaccine supply and what could be in the works in the coming weeks and months.
