Polk County Train Derailment Occurs in Same Location as Last Month
Crookston, MN — The Polk County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of another train derailment just north of Crookston this week. The incident happened at approximately 3:45pm on Wednesday, March 10th at the intersection of US Highway 75 and 210th St ST. 22 cars were derailed in the incident, but no one was hurt and nothing was leaking. Polk County Sheriff Jim Tadman says the incident caused some confusion initially as it occurred in the exact same place as a previous derailment last month.
The previous train derailment occurred on February 8th when 9 cars were derailed.
