Aitkin School Board Work Sessions discusses Capital Projects Levy, Site, Proposed Reductions

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin School Board Work Session Meeting Monday night included presentation for the Capital Projects Levy and Site Planning, and Budget Reduction Discussion from the Aitkin High School Media Center.
Todd Rapp of Rapp Strategies presented to the School Board on their stance in aiding the District in promoting the Capital Projects Levy.
Superintendent Dan Stifter brought up the other half of the future for the Aitkin School District, the land to possibly be used for a new school building.
Jeff Schiltz of ICS discussed Site Planning for the land.
Superintendent Stifter opened discussion on the Budget Fund Balance, previously taken on December 11th, 2020.
That conversation led to the proposed reductions within the District.
The Aitkin Public School Board will be holding their regular meeting coming up on March 15th at 7pm.
