Aitkin County Soial & Water Conservation District transitioning from Winter to Spring

(Aitkin, MN) — As spring temperatures continue with each day now into the month of March, the Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District Manager Steve Hughes returned for his monthly conversation with activity going to be increasing.

Hughes talked about even with the winter weather, Forestry work in the District has not slowed down.

The Aitkin County SWCD is also working on preparing for Plant and Tree Sales.

Hughes did also give an update on the Culvert Inventory Project.

Hughes and his staff are also preparing for open water fishing and Aquatic Invasive Species inspections.
