Ada, MN — The Ada City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, March 2nd at Ada Council Chambers. At the meeting, the council heard from Al’s Disposal in preparation for the annual City Wide Spring Clean Up. The council approved this year’s clean up week dates, which are Thursday, May 13th from 5-8pm, Friday, May 14th from 12-6pm, and Saturday May 15th from 8-4pm. Ada Mayor John Hintz says it’ll be done in the same fashion as year’s prior.

More details regarding the spring clean up will be sent out in the future, but Hintz did add that there is a need for civic groups who may be willing to assist community members in transporting their items to the clean up site.

The Ada City Council also received an update on the new police cruiser and approved a bid for outfitting it from Guardian at a price of $9760.

And lately there’s been a lot of deconstruction going on around town as property owners are taking advantage of the city’s demolition fund. Mayor Hintz encourages other community member to look into that option if they have a dilapidated property they would like to tear down.

Ada City Councilmembers Scott Erickson and Shawn Roux will join the KRJB Kaleidoscope Program this Thursday to further recap this week’s meeting.
