51st Annual Snodeo on North Twin Lake
Naytahwaush, MN — Giddy on up to the 51st Annual Naytahwaush Nightriders Snodeo on North Twin Lake this Saturday and Sunday. The weekend will be jam packed with snowmobile racing and riding of all sorts for all skill levels. The main attraction for the weekend will be COR Powersports Cross Country Racing, which gets underway at 9am both days. It’s a new racing sanction this year, but the same great names and faces that fans are used to seeing. McArthur adds that there are a number of locals that will be competing throughout the ranks too, including a couple in the pro class that should be contenders to win.
In addition to the cross-country racing, the Dawn Kirsch Memorial Radar Run will get underway at 10am Saturday and Sunday as well with classes for nearly every snowmobile, new and old. There will also be mini snowmobile racing at noon on Saturday with a pizza party to follow for the participants. And you can show off your vintage snowmobiles on Saturday afternoon and take part in a brief ride afterwards.
Temps for this weekend could potentially get in the 50s, but McArthur says it shouldn’t impact the Snodeo in any major way.
And as the snowmobiling season is coming to an end, McArthur thanks everyone who has supported the Naytahwaush Nightriders this year and will be volunteering during the Snodeo.
Pinehurst Resort will be open all weekend long with their full-service bar and food, but there won’t be any raffles or dance this year. For more information, including the full line up of events, visit the Naytahwaush Nightriders Facebook Page. Their Snodeo is this Saturday and Sunday, March 6th and 7th on North Twin Lake.
