Norman County West Celebrates Day 100
Hendrum, MN — The Norman County West Elementary School celebrated the 100th day of school earlier this month. During a normal year, it’s just another milestone, but this year hitting day 100 was quite the accomplishment considering the pandemic, according to Principal Deane Flom. The district has managed to stay with in-person learning this entire school year thanks to strict guidelines and social distancing. Flom adds though that a lot has changed, especially the attitudes, from Day 1 to Day 100.
Principal Flom says all the healthy habits that they’ve had to adjust over the last 100 days have become very routine for students, which has led to less sick kids this year.
The Norman County West School celebrated Day 100 by dressing up like they were 100 years old, tried stacking 100 cups, created bucket lists, and other fun activities.
