U-of-M Extension Winter Workshops coming up

(Foley, MN) — The University of Minnesota Extension will be providing opportunities to continue learning about new ideas and on how to refine old practices with some Winter Workshops held virtually for 2021.
On Friday, February 19th from 9-11am, the Small Grains Workshop will be held in place of the southern Minnesota small grains workshops this year with information around production agronomics, variety selection, and economics. Registration is free and is necessary in order to receive the Zoom link. Registration can be done online or contact Jared Goplen at 320-589-1711 x2128.
Private Pesticide Applicators looking for recertification have four options this year. The first three will be all virtual including the online exam, the Canvas Course, and the online live Zoom Webinars. The Canvas course is new this year and is self-paced with registration closing February 24th and must be completed by February 28th. The 2021 Virtual Crop Management Input Seminar will be for Central and East Central Minnesota. Topics covered will include grain marketing, insect and disease concerns, nutrient management, herbicide trait considerations, small grains, and forages. The seminar will run from 8:30am-12pm on Friday, February 26th and fee for all to attend.
