Following Successful GHD Fundraising, REACH Now Switches Focus to 30 for 30 Campaign
Hawley, MN — REACH, the Rural Enrichment and Counseling Headquarters, once again had another successful Giving Hearts Day campaign this past Thursday. The goal for REACH, which provides counseling and career services, operates a food pantry and thrift stores, and heads the backpack program for six area schools, was to raise $18,000. REACH just barely hit their mark raising $18,057 as of Friday afternoon with a few donations still in the mail. But the opportunity to support REACH and their services in Rural Clay, Norman, and Becker Counties is still available long after Giving Hearts Days. Ahead of their 30th anniversary, REACH is launching their 30for 30 campaign, where Executive Director Peggie Chisholm says they hope to raise another $30,000 to support their programs.
Chisholm notes that even just one-time gifts of $30 go a long way in providing services or food to people in need.
A 30th Anniversary celebration for REACH is also being planned for June 3rd, 2021 at Westgate Park in Hawley with live music, treats, fashion show, and more, pending COVID restrictions. Visit www.ruralenrichment.org for more information about REACH services and programs.
