City of Hill City Council commends Officer heroics at February 9th meeting

(Hill City, MN) — The City of Hill City Council conducted their regular meeting Tuesday with business as usual other than recognition of heroic efforts from a Hill City Police officer, according to Mayor Lonnie Lee.
Mayor Lee says the Department Reports opened up the future of the City’s Comprehensive Plan, to do with updates on the Line 3 Pipeline protests and a local event.
City Hall will also be opening back up to the public next week.
The City of Hill City is also taking the initiative against Blight this Spring.
The Council continued discussion on the idea of a Dog Park and the planning for the Capital Improvement Project. An individual is also looking to build apartments across from Veterans Park and the Council approved a raffle permit for Hill City Archery.
The Council also commended officer Jeff Madsen for his efforts in saving a man’s life.
The City of Hill City Council will next meet on Tuesday, February 23rd at City Hall. The March 9th meeting has been moved to March 10th in observance of State Township Elections.
