Norman County East School Board News & Notes
Twin Valley, MN — The Norman County East School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Monday night in the school media center. At the meeting, the board approved a new bus lease agreement to get four new buses by the start of the next school year. Because of low lease rates, Norman County East Superintendent Rob Nudell says they will actually pay less money than on their current lease.
The board also approved the 2021-2022 school calendar and made some adjustments to this year’s calendar since they won’t be hosting an Ensemble competition this spring, according to Nudell.
Under staffing, the board accepted the retirement of a long-time physical education instructor Diane Anderson and appointed a summer rec coordinator.
And Superintendent Nudell provided an update on COVID-19 and the vaccine distribution. He notes that anyone who has wanted to get the vaccine in the district has been able to get it and some are even fully vaccinated already.
The Norman County East School Board also approved a 3-year audit agreement with Eide Bailey and Associates.
