Ada-Borup School Board Provided Updates on Consolidation, Construction, and COVID-19
Ada, MN — The Ada-Borup School Board held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday morning where they were provided updates on consolidation, construction, and the COVID-19 situation. With both the Ada-Borup and Norman County West School Boards approving the consolidation resolutions, the districts are moving forward with the next steps, which includes submitting their plans to the county and state and figuring out the needs for the new district, according to Ada-Borup Superintendent Aaron Cook.
As far as staffing goes for the new Ada-Borup West District, Superintendent Cook says they don’t have a set plan as of now, but they are currently examining what their needs will be for when they combine.
Construction is going well at the Ada-Borup school also. Cook notes that they officially moved into their new classrooms and continue to make progress on the rest of the new addition.
On the COVID-19 front, Cook says things are looking and feeling more normal lately with students back in the classrooms more consistently and the virus staying out of the school.
The Ada-Borup School Board also approved hiring Kim Moen as a long-term 5th grade substitute, and approve a leave of absence for Becky Todd, accepted the resignation of Alexis Miller, and approved their spring coaches.
