Ada, MN — This cold snap is a good reminder of just how important it is to have warm clothing such as hats and mittens, but not everyone in our community has access to those vital items. You can help those in your community in need by donating to the Norman County 4-H Heads, Hands, and Toes Winter Clothing Drive, but you will need to do so as it wraps up this coming Monday, February 15th. Norman County 4-H Director Linda Houglum says the purpose of the clothing drive is to make sure youth have the opportunity to enjoy winter by ensuring they have proper winter gear.

Drop-off locations include Northwestern Bank in Hendrum, Valley General Store in Halstad, McCollum’s Hardware in Ada, Ada-Borup School, and St. Williams Catholic Church in Twin Valley.

The Heads, Hands, and Toes winter clothing driving got a big boost recently as a group of “Super-Sewers” got together to create dozens of cozy hats.

Again the deadline to donate winter gear in Monday, February 15th.
