(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin Public School Board meeting Monday night will have a presentation, approve contracts, and review future plans for the 2021-22 school year from the Aitkin High School Media Center.

Scott Sosalla from ARI will present Bids to the Board, followed by a vote to approve Bid Tab results. 

Old Business will include the Second Readings for policies of Transportation of Public School Students and Transportation of Nonpublic School Students.

New Business features approval of fundraisers of Candy Grams from the School Council from February 8-12. Contracts for a 2020-21 working agreement with Lakes & Pines, an Independent Contractor Agreement with Amara Blake for Design Choreography for the musical, and consideration and approval of the American Indian Parent Advisory Committee Resolution will all be up for Board approval.

The Board will also look to approve the 2021-22 School Calendar and a draft copy of the School Calendar for 2022-23. Discussion will also take place on the Capital Projects Levy and possibly working with ICS.

Superintendent Dan Stifter’s Report will be discussed February 2021 Enrollment and Intervention and Academic Support Programs for Rippleside Elementary and the High School.

The Aitkin School Board is scheduled to meet at 7pm tonight from the Media Center at Aitkin High School.
