Naytahwaush, MN — While snowmobile trails throughout many parts of the state aren’t in ridable condition due to the lack of snow, the trails near Naytahwaush are in great shape and as a result have been quite busy lately. With the increased traffic, however, comes an increased need to ride safely. Naytahwaush Nightriders Snowmobile Club President Tom McArthur says there have been a few accidents in recent weeks and many near misses from people riding recklessly.

McAthur is enthusiastic that there appears to be a renewed interest in snowmobiling, and encourages those getting back into the sport to consider getting involved with their local snowmobiling club.

McArthur and the Naytahwaush Nightriders will be braving the freezing cold this Saturday for their 17th annual Hospice Ride, where they will be riding from Pinehurst Resort to Hoot Owl Resort and back to raise money for Hospice of the Red River Valley.
