McGregor City Council discusses Business insurance options, Ditch 5 at February 2nd meeting

(McGregor, MN) — More discussion on future city projects took place at the monthly McGregor City Council meeting Tuesday night from the McGregor Fire Hall.
McGregor Mayor Dake Olson spoke about a presentation from Paul Donna on refinancing the City’s USDA loans.
The City also adjusted their formula for fire service pay and the division of fire and ambulance payments.
Olson did bring to the Council the prospect of opening options for business assistance if an event should occur where water or sewer damage occurs.
The City also approved a salary range for the hiring of a manager for the McGregor Ambulance Service and an application for a grant for equipment replacement through FEMA was also accepted. Olson also spoke about the City’s role with the Ditch 5 water supply and keeping the phosphorus levels within environmental standards.
The McGregor City Council also received an update from the Zoning Board as they continue to update their MSDS binders. The Council is next scheduled to meet on March 2nd at 6pm from the McGregor Fire Hall.
