The Athletic’s Arif Hasan lays out an offseason plan for the Minnesota Vikings

International Falls – Minnesota Vikings Beat Reporter Arif Hasan joined the Borderland airwaves with Kris Norton on Tuesday to take a look at an evolving NFC North, and to project a plan for the Vikings moving forward.
The National Football League’s quarterback carousel has fired up early in 2021, with the Detroit Lions swapping Matthew Stafford for Rams’ quarterback Jared Goff, two first-round picks, and a third rounder. The rumor mill once again has drummed up potential trade interest for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins. Would Minnesota listen to offers?
In the wake of missing the playoffs and salary cap constraints, Cousins isn’t the only Viking whose name has come up in trade conversations. After logging zero snaps, and one neck surgery in 2020, star defensive end Danielle Hunter is reportedly looking for a new deal. Hasan doesn’t believe that Hunter is a lock to stay in the North Star state.
In building the Vikings back up from any potential departures, the 2021 NFL Draft will play a key role. Unlike in years past, Hasan says that the Vikings have yet to tip their hand in prospects they are taking particular interest in.
