Norman County West Students Raise over $1,000 During Kids Heart Challenge
Hendrum, MN — The hearts have been pumping these past couple weeks at the Norman County West School and as a result the funds have been coming in as well to support the fight against heart disease. The students have been participating the Kids Heart Challenge to raise money for the American Heart Association and are actually well above their goal coming into the final day. The goal for the schools was to raise $1,000, and as of Thursday afternoon they had brought in just over $1,300. As part of the Kids Heart Challenge, the students participate in fitness tasks at home and do various activities and challenges in school as well, according to Norman County West Elementary Principal Deanne Flom.
According to the online leaderboard, the top class for dollars earned is Mrs. Jacobson’s 2nd grade class, followed by Mr. Stoltz 4th grade class and Mrs. Menze’s Kindergarten class.
