Crosby City Council appoints personnel at January 25th meeting

(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby City Council gathered Monday night to go over appointments and review invoice requests from the Crosby City Council Chambers.
The Council did approve the authorization change in the Unity Bank Account Signers for the City of Crosby, and accepted the resignation of Margaret Saba and appointed John Ohlin to fill the vacant Crosby HRA Board set with a term to expire on August 31st, 2021.
Mayor James Hunter spoke before the Council and citizens in attendance for a plea of community involvement.
Council member Diane Cash recapped a workshop with the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce and their advertising strategies over the past year.
The Council did vote to withhold funds from the Chamber until presentation of funds for previous events that were cancelled in 2020 are shown. Approval was given to assign Shayne Jacobs as Assistant Fire Chief, and approved the appointment of Rachel Severson to the Planning Commission with Linda Peeples as the Alternate. Ashley Zidon from Planning and Zoning brought forth an amendment to the Impervious Coverage Ordinance.
City Administrator Matthew Hill presented the Council a request of invoice from Mills Auto for a repair to a City dump truck.
The Council also accepted the resignation of Public Utilities Commissioner Steve Karels. The Crosby City Council is next scheduled to meet on Monday, February 8th at 6pm from the Crosby City Council Chambers.
