Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meeting from January 26th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners moved forward with improvements and updates at their regular meeting Tuesday morning from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
The Board did approve items including amending SSTS and Permit Inspection Contract, Prosecution Services, Timber Auction Dates for 2021, Conveyance of Tax Forfeited, and an Off-Sale Gambling Permit for Minnewawa Sportsmen’s Club.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert brought to Commissioners the application process for County COVID-19 Business Relief Permits.
The application process was approved by the Board, as well as a request for Marcia Gerber to fill an opening on the East Central Regional Library Board. County Engineer John Welle brought a pair of resolutions to revoke and vacate portions of a County road.
Those resolutions were passed. Aitkin County Jail Administrator Karla White presented good news with the Jail Facility Inspection Reports.
The Board also approved a Change of Date for a gambling permit for the Up North Riders ATV Club for their event on October 9th, 2021. County Assessor Mike Dangers presented the case for a Disaster Abatement and Credit.
Approval was given for the abatement. The Board also went to approve an update to the Seasonal and Temporary Wage Scale Policy.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners is next scheduled to meet on Tuesday, February 9th at 9am from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
