(BRAINERD, MN) — The city of Brainerd held a regular council meeting on Tuesday, January 19. We spoke with Dave Badeaux to get the latest updates.

Badeaux first provided an update with the ongoing search for a new police chief for the city of Brainerd and explained some of the challenges the council has faced in it.

In regular business, the city approved its 5-Year Street and Sewer Capital Improvement Plan.

The city also has some openings in some of its committees and commissions. For those considering getting involved with the city of Brainerd, Badeaux encouraged them to look into these openings.

And to end on a lighter note, Badeaux talked about how the kids at Garfield Elementary sent him a Flat Stanley, which he has been tasked to show around the city of Brainerd.

We thank Mayor Badeaux for his time. The city of Brainerd’s website can be found here and our full interview with Badeaux can be found below.
